I’m an over the road truck driver and small moving business owner in Colorado. I’m also a Navy veteran.I cold called with some questions about business taxes last week 4/12/24 and got pulled into signing up for his monthly service which he requires to do returns. I paid $599.00 for a month of service, and canceled 4 days later as he informed me it would be roughly $4,000.00 to catch up on my book keeping and file past years. He informed me that I could not get any refund due to his 4 days of hard work, he had to talk to me on the phone for an hour in total and connect QuickBooks to my business account, which must have been strenuous. He said, and I quote: “If you go to a doctor about your problems and have them run tests, you don't get a refund if you choose not to take the medicine.”Seems like a CPA who thinks very highly of themselves as he also informed me he charges $250.00 per hour. I would not recommend unless your business is really doing a lot of numbers month to month rather than seasonal and small like mine.
